X Sues Major Advertisers Over Alleged Boycott

X has taken legal action against several large companies, including Lego, Nestlé, and Pinterest, claiming they were involved in an unfair boycott. The company argues that this boycott, allegedly organized by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), was designed to push Twitter/X to follow specific brand safety guidelines. As a result, X says its ad revenue was harmed, and ad prices dropped. The company highlights that small businesses, not members of the WFA, make up most of its revenue now. In addition, Elon Musk has acknowledged the platform’s challenges with slow user growth and unimpressive earnings.
